Signaturit allows you to automate your signing and certification processes by linking your account to Zapier. The possibilities for your workflows will increase and you'll be able to automate processes with third party apps.
Zapier is a tool that allows you to connect apps you use every day to automate tasks between platforms. You just need your Signaturit's API token to link your Signaturit's account with Zapier and start automatizing your workflows.
Signaturit works as a trigger app and as an action app. Depending on the mode, you can start your flow before or after the document is signed.
Click here to know how to use Signaturit as an trigger app.
Before you start creating your first Zap with Signaturit, read these Zapier guides to know all the basics:
Once you get all the basics, create your first Zap using Signaturit:
Signaturit as an action app:
Signaturit as an action app will allow you to do the following actions triggerred by a third party app:
- Create a Signature Request.
- Create a signature request from a template.
- Create a Certified Email.
- Sends a signature request reminder.
- Cancels a signature request.
Generate a document with a software or app and then use this set of actions to certified or sign that document.
In this example we will create a Typeform survey and then we will send a document to be signed with the data collected on that survey.
The trigger app in this case will be Typeform, which will be triggered once a new survey has been completed.
Before creating a Zap, make sure to have a Typeform survey and a Signaturit template ready to use. You would need to have at hand the widget's ID from the Signaturit template. This will be needed to link the data collected from the Survey to the fields in the template:
Once everything has been created, link your Typeform account to Zapier:
Bear in mind that you'd need to have the Typeform already created:
Once the trigger (Typeform) has been linked to Zapier, it's time to go to the second step and configure your set of actions:
Select Signaturit and then link your Signaturit's account to Zapier. Write your API token and choose if you want to link your production or sandbox account. Once done, click on "Yes, Continue" and wait for the confirmation message.
Click here to know how to obtain your API token.
Then select the action to use. In this case we will use the "Create Signature Request From Template". That way you'll have your widgets set which will be use to grab all the data obtained from the survey.
Continue to the next page.
The first field is "Templates" which will show you a dropdown list with all your Signaturit's templates. Simply choose the one that you want to use.
Afterwards edit all the details regarding your signature's request: subject and body of the email, recipients on CC, etc. You would need to link the tags with the data obtained from the survey.
Once you have created your Typeform don't forget to add an email field. That way you'll have the signer's email and you will be able to send him/her the document to be signed.
The field “Email” will be linked to the question asking for the email:
On some fields you can mix variable elements with fixed text thanks to the tags. For example, you can set an individual name in the Subject and use tags in the body of the email to further customize your message.
Feel free to try the tags to change names or other settings. Words in clear gray show you the details of the example that you uploaded before and what that tag is referring to.
To link the data collected from the survey to the widgets on your template use the field "Data".
Link the widget ID with the tag of the Typeform to do the connection:
Once done, your template will be automatically filled with all the answers obtained from your Typeform survey and it will be automatically sent to sign. Just click on "Continue" to finish the process:
Long story short: Link a trigger app to Zapier and get to know the possibilities. Edit your workflow using the actions available with Signaturit and edit it as you wish.
