What is a PKI system?

A PKI (public key infrastructure) system is a public key infrastructure that includes a combination of hardware, software, and security procedures that offer guarantees for transactions with electronic signatures.

Signaturit uses a PKI system to offer the electronic signature and electronic time stamping service in order to encrypt the documents that are managed on its platform. The configuration of the PKI infrastructure that Signaturit uses complies with the provisions of Law 59/2003 on Electronic Signatures and the eIDAS Regulation regarding electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market.
