The limits stated below work the same for documents you send from our web platform, email and API.
- Maximum size of attachments in any kind of request:
Via Dashboard, you can send 1 document per request via advanced signature and 2 documents via simple signature. Via API, the limit on the number of attachments is 2 by default, but you can write to firstname.lastname@example.org in order to increase this limitation. However, keep in mind that the sum of all (both) attached files (in certified email, simple or advanced signature) cannot surpass 15MB in total, per request.
- Maximum number of recipients:
In Signaturit you can have up to 40 contacts per signature request or certified email sent. This includes signers and recipients in copy (CC).
With certified emails, you can send it to 40 contacts in total. Contacts in blind copy (BCC) will be ignored in this case and won't be certified.
To send a request to more than 40 recipients individually, you can use the batch delivery feature.
- Length of the body in an email or certified email:
Email body length has no set character limit.
- Maximum size of the documents sent to be signed:
You can send up to 2 documents per request and the size of these documents cannot surpass the 15MB.
The maximum limitation for big requests is the following:
- 1 Signer/1 Document
- 1 Signature widget
- 20 image widgets with a default value. The size of the image in base64 is approximately 1MB.
- Number of pages:
To ensure the smooth running of the platform, we recommend sending files of:
200 - 300 pages top if the file contains images with a resolution between 72 and 133 dpi and depending on the PDF configuration.
60 pages top if the file contains images with a resolution of 300 dpi.
